Automotive Energy Supply Corporation battery specs list a 2kg or 4.4lb - 28.8V this doesn't seem to match up with all the negative hype about battery weight. Have I got this right? Do I have the right battery? Please help me out

Hi Dan,

I am not a battery specialist but so far the current battery technologies do not permit to built a battery with enough energy to drive an ordinary car without putting a bunch of cells. (The energy is measures in watts, not in voltage). All together these cells weight quite a bit. As of today technology it seems that for a car the size of a Honda Civic it takes about 350 pound battery to power the car for about 100 miles. As technology evolves, the weight and capacity will increase.
