Montreal has seriously overhauled its transport network to accommodate bikers. Part of the green house emissions reduction plan is increase alternative forms of transportation. The Bixi system has been a resounding success and is being adopted all over the world, from Australia to Europe. How can we bring Better Place's vision to Montreal?

If anyone is interested in getting involved please let me know!

Patrick, I am not speaking officially for Better Place however I think you will find the following url informative

It would appear that "Car 2.0" is intended to be a fully open spec that all automakers can use. This is highly important as one of the main advantages of gasoline vehicles is that any vehicle can refuel at any gas station. If an open standard is developed incorporating home/business based recharging as well as battery swap (so as to get the same effective range as ICE Vehicles) then all practical arguments against EVs die out.

I'm From Montreal, Time to share the wealth and bring Shai Agassi's idea to reality in out city here... WE ARE READY... just sell the idea to the governments... once they fund the grid infrastructure we are good to go.

Last month I was at the PHEV 09 event in Montreal put on by EMC and it was fantastic. Really great speakers and an over capacity list of delegates.
