Just spoke with a friend in Mexico who is really rolling out the ultracapacitors for a little smart grid action. The locals love the savings on their energy bill.

Hey FF; If there is a Tata Motors Dealer anywhere in Portugal you could call the dealer and ask them if they are selling the Tata Nano EV model called the E-Nano which should have an option of attached or side by solar panels. The EV should sell for $2500...new.So you could travel anywhere to find a dealer with the $5000 descount, buy the car and have $2500 for your return home! The E-Nano might be the worlds cheapest electric car.

Hey FF
I am wondering if you need to buy the car in Portugal in order to get the $6500 rebate.I was looking at an electric car on eBay where a retired guy took an electric motor and retrofitted a 197? Porsche into an EV.Any way he would take $6000 or $6500 for it because it only has lead acid batteries he bought at Walmart in it rather than some lithium ion type that costs many thousands just for the batteries. Can a person that lives in the SF Bay ara get the $6500 portugese electric vehicle credit?
Just wondering??

Peter
