Hey Shai;
I have been a member over a year after I watched you testify at a congressional sub comittee meeting(Ed Markey) about cafe standards with a VP from Nissan(Mr.Thorman) and an attorney from Denmark(Holm) and a former EPA official (Jeff Holmstead).........and live a little north of your Penninsula offices in Mill Valley.I added a forum about the Better Place Software for Electric Cars in Denmark and Israel and wanted to send a Thank You......... your way.
I remember someone saying that we are violating the "law of holes" and know last month the US imported 355 million barrels 'n "we" have to start digging out.
Sincerely,
Peter Hunt
Shai your desire towards this change is absolute, your purpose is very wise to our better world, I look forward in meeting with you one day,
sincerly,

Our organsiations seem to share aims, but yours is on a much, much larger and direct level! We are Revolve Global: towards no emissions. We do this work we are passionate about via consultancy and high-profile events in the UK; we have had requests to do them further afield which we are looking at. We are holding an Eco-rally June 8th that it between Brighton sea front and London City Hall, the opposite route of the famous veteran car rally. We have celebs, a large amount of car companies, an Energy company, high profile people including the Mayor of London and Secretary Of State for Transport are involved. It is a demonstration of sustainable transportation in action showing, that these vehicles are here today, work and should be the consumer's next choice of vehicle. The Eco-rally was kindly launched by HRH Prince Charles, in 2007, and we get great media exposure nationally and some internationally.
We still have a slot on the podium with Boris Johnson et al if you are interested in a slot for the press call or similar??
Also on the 8th the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnerhsip, who have 300 organisations are holding their conference, the eco-rally arrives in the afternoon, then after the conference finishes WhatCar? Green car awards unveil the 2009 winner. We have do this and we will the transition happen but isn't what I would call massively lucrative is a cash sense but we are rich in talent and passion; our Advisory Council are key people in the UK! I would like to send you further information if any of this sounds of interest to you.

Congratulations on your idealism and drive in trying to bring about by private initiative what many governments should have probably done many years ago! I saw an interview with you in the local press here in Australia and it rang a few bells related to discussions I've had in the past.
Specifically there is enormous potential for use of solar in Australia with a small population and vast area of sun drenched land that is otherwise unused. The idea of creating the infrastructure for a battery exchange system as a backup/alternative mechanism for rapid charging of electric vehicles also resonated. Combined with recent advances in LiFePO4 batteries we may now have the critical components to displace fossil fuels for transport.
I am interested in setting up such a system here . My background is in science and business - I have a Ph.D. in Physics, have worked internationally in the energy sector and have founded, IPO'd and managed an energy company here.
Has any progress been made in Australia by you (or others) in setting up an EV charging network? I am keen to help or to actively intitiate it if no progress has been made.
