Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN has become a partner in the Energy Star program. The company, ranked by Modern Healthcare as the nation’s top design/build firm for healthcare facilities for the last two years, is committed to integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of its business, from its management of facilities to its design strategies. Cogdell will now measure and track the energy performance of its facilities using Energy Star tools and guidelines to achieve energy savings. The Energy Star program was introduced by the EPA in 1992 as a market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency.
Nominations for the Cause Marketing Halo Awards are due by next Monday, February 1st. Entries featuring programs conducted in 2009 are encouraged in 11 categories, including Best Transactional Campaign, Best Message-Focused Campaign, and Best Event Marketing Campaign. Reflecting the increased use of social media, the Halos have added categories for Best Online Video and Digital Marketing Campaigns.
